Welcome to The Grove Church
Thank you for taking time to find out more about The Grove. My name is Matt Warren, and on behalf of the elders and staff, I want to say, “Welcome!” As you read further, you will be acquainted with who we are, what we do, and why we do it.
The Grove Church has a specific reason why we exist, our purpose: to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ through the teaching of Scripture so that we may present everyone as a mature disciple in Him (Colossians 1:28). We also want to communicate what we do, which is our mission: Connecting Communities, Changing Lives. Then there is a process to how we do ministry: by Gathering, Growing, and Going. These elements are specific to The Grove Church, guiding us in every way for our ministry in Christ’s Kingdom.
Being a purpose driven church in Robertson County Tennesse, we desire that a person connects rightly to God and the community of believers (known as the church) through faith in Jesus Christ. Once this occurs, that person is then challenged to grow and to be equipped to share this life changing news with others.
We gather to celebrate God through worship and to have teaching that speaks of the good news of Jesus Christ in a way that the people of our culture and context can understand. Each Sunday we gather for a time of age appropriate teaching in our education hour (Grow Hour) & then we gather together for worship through music and a message focused on the Bible .
We further emphasize the need for individuals to be growing in the truth of Scripture. We do this by encouraging people to engage in small groups, which we call Grow Groups. By providing a variety of groups we have the opportunity to meet the needs of singles, families with children, and couples of differing ages.
It is essential for disciples of Jesus to be going beyond the church and into the local and global community. Jesus said in Luke 6:40, “Everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.” The Grove Church provides training and opportunities for people to be going and sharing the love and good news of Jesus Christ personally, locally, and globally.
Again, I welcome you to our church and thank you for taking time to find out more about us. As you are being introduced to The Grove Church through this website, we hope that you find the information you need to know us better. I invite you to contact us by email, letter, or phone, but I would be especially eager to have you gather with us for worship on Sunday morning.
