Danny Taylor – Deacon of Community Outreach

How did you become a believer?

My son was born premature and doctors told us that he was going to have a lot of medical disabilities. Through his time in the hospital, friends and family prayed with me and they helped point me to God. God worked a miracle in the lives of my son and wife that I didn’t deserve and that gave me a desire to have a relationship with Him. Doctors say that my son is a medical anomaly because he was able to develop normally, despite his medical setbacks early on. My life completely turned around in the five months following my son’s birth, as I became a believer in Christ, was baptized, and married my wife.

Tell me about your family:

My wife and I have been married for 13 years and we have two children. We live in Greenbrier, where we are surrounded by extended family and love being involved with the people in our community.

What book of the Bible is dearest or most meaningful to you? Why?

The book of Romans, more specifically Romans 5:1-6, is my favorite in the Bible. The reason I love this book is how it talks about suffering but then points to Jesus and how God uses the suffering.

What are your hobbies/interests?

I enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with my family.
